The
Karen Osburn Band
Featuring Clip Cookson on Steel
Guitar
Contact: karenosburnband@hotmail.com
Karen Osburn was born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up
wherever great music was happening. Karens dad, Jerry
Osburn was a notable and very fine musician and
vocalist. Her mother Irene Osburn, was also a vocalist
and drummer. She remembers traveling with her father and
mother, playing all the way from Las Vegas, NV, to
Nashville, TN, to Branson MO. In Colorado, her dad had
the first Country/Western TV show on Denver television.
channel 2's "Riders of the Rockies".
Karen's four brothers and two sisters continue to play
music successfully around the Denver area. For many
years, Karen has had the opportunity to perform with her
family, and also has been fortunate enough to have her
own band. Karen performed in five world tours for the
Department of Defense (DOD). and won a first place trip
to perform in Aruba for as month in the
Battle-of-the-Bands.
Although Karen has been playing the bass guitar for the
last 10 year, the majority of her career has been
devoted to playing the drums. She's a natural at singing
harmony and loves to write songs. She currently spends
time dabbling with jazz guitar, her new found love. The
inspiration of her dads music has been a wonderful
therapy for Karen. Through it all she has managed to be
a great mother for her eight children, and cherishes the
time she gets to spend with her six grand children. She
feels that she has been very blessed in life.
Karen recorded her debut CD at FTM studios in Denver in
2000, recorded another CD in 2001 at SMS Studios in
Nashville, TN with producer Mike Shrimph along with a
who's who of country music.
In 2002 Karen Produced Rudy
Grant's latest CD "Destination Unknown"
and also attended the 2002 "Nebraska
Country Music Foundation's annual awards in
Hastings, Nebraska. Karen Osburn walked away with awards
for "Most Promising Pro Female
Vocalist", "Top Instrumentalist",
and a runner up award for "Pro Song
Writer".
Recently Karen finished her latest CD... "Cow
Jazz" at Crystal Clear Recording in 2003.
Along with Clip Cookson on Steel Guitar, Karen fused
elements of Jazz, Country, and Blues to make a CD like
none ever heard.
Karen Osburn produced Lou Blanda and Kay Clark in the
studio in 2003.
Karen's follow up to "Cow jazz".
"Christmas Jazz" is a collection of all
original Christmas and family songs that feature Clip
Cookson on Steel guitar as well as other guest jazz
players from all over the United States.

Alone Amongst The Myriad started in late 2003 when guitarists Vinnie and James started jamming together and working on some songs. They then found Kevin and started jamming with him. He made some sweet drum beats so they started playing more and more. After being a 3 person band forever they finally found a bassist named Bo. Bo joined in 2005 and now they play all together and it sounds good.

Snark is from Arvada, Colorado. All of the band members are under 18 and in high school. Just a high school garage band
that kicks ass and has a unique sound all their own.

Moore
http://www.mooremetal.net/
Corey
Taylor star of Stage (Stone Sour/ Slipknot) and Screen
describes MOORE : "MOORE IS THE MOST LEWD, RAUCOUS,
DISGUSTING AND UNINTELLIGIBLE BAND OF THIS CENTURY---THAT
IS WHY THEY WILL GO SO FAR YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO CATCH
THEIR FEET!!!!!!"
"MOORE are the Kings of Metal" and "These
guys come to kill shit" are the words Tripp Eisen (of
The Murder Dolls//Static X and Dope) uses to describe the
metal powerhouse from Denver.
"MOORE totally ROCKS" and "(MOORE) are a
collection of extremely talented musicians and credible,
professional performers. Keep pumping it out...I now RELY
on my MOORE CD's..."- Shaul Turner, Fox31 News,
Denver, Colorado
Formed in Denver in 1995 by lead singer JIM MOORE, MOORE
continues to be a favorite of metal and rock fans around
the world. With Bass player CHADWIK, MATTHEW MEYER on
guitar and ERIK GROVE on drums, MOORE is taking their
brand of over the top metal to the ears of the world.
Cutting Edge Magazine describes MOORE as "Faster
Pussycat meets WASP, with a chain saw delivery. Another
Bad Day calls MOORE "Metal at its Best". Bonita
Berger of Euphony Music News say's "MOORE
Triumphs!"
Seen in MetalEdge and across the US, a MOORE show is not
just a concert, but an experience.
"The music world needs an enema" states JIM
MOORE, "and we're just the douche-bags to do
it"
With an impressive catalogue already under his belt and
the recording of a brash new disk, (that promises to be
the best yet) JIM MOORE and his crew of metal maniacs are
ready to once again make the world safe for Rock &
Roll. Watch for the new album out in early spring, and for
tour dates designed to wet the appetite of metal heads
starving for a savior.

QuarterPound.
The meaning behind the name of the Denver-based band
may take on several different interpretations, but
there is only one word that accurately describes
their music: gripping . The power, punch and
diversity behind every Quarterpound song makes the
quintet music to the ears. Their live show is candy
for the eyes. Don't expect Quarterpound to be a
metal band, or a rock band or an alternative band.
Expect them to take these styles of music to the
next level and perfect them. Are Quarterpound's
members expecting to change the world with their
music? Of course they aren't. They're expecting to
impact the music industry and bring back what's been
lost in today's commercial radio market; real music
that has real feeling.
The key behind Q.P.'s music is the background and
diversified influence of it's players. All of Q.P.'s
members prefer a different style of music and in
turn have blended those styles for a unique sound.
Their songs range from the ultra-heaviness of
"Entombed Depression",to the
nostalgic-ness of "Resist" to the melodic
beats of "A Sign". With such a wide range
of talents , and influences , Q.P. is currently
striving to simply make a connection with many
audiences on many levels. The band''s ultimate goal,
through hard work and commitment to their music, is
to find a home at a record label and tour the world,
proving to all music fans all they really need is a
Quarterpound''.
Q.P. came together as a band when they met through
mutual friends. The group consists of Quentin
"Q" Stuart (vocals, rhythm guitar), Paul
Evers (bass), Jason Warrington (drums) and Trevor
Norman (lead guitar). One would think that with so
many different ideas on what good music is, the
writing process would be difficult. The band''s
frontman disagrees claiming it comes naturally,
stating "We write music about things that
happen internally as well as things that happen
around us. Really, the music writes itself".
Bassist Paul Evers adds " There are so many
styles of music on our album that bring out
different emotions, several of our songs could be
singles".
For a band that has been together less than a year,
they have made major strides locally, and have
started to create quite the buzz nationally. Major
and indie labels see the marketing potential behind
Q.P. because of the band''s ability to bring music
to many radio formats. In 2004, expect to hear more
from Q.P. as they open the stage for several
national acts and go from a "baby" band to
a "breaking" band.

Vox Demonna
http://www.voxdemonna.com

Chris Demonna - Vocals : Multi-talented musician,
actor, and martial artist . Vox Demonna gets it's
underground voodoo rock sound from his original
master blend of reggae, rap, brit-pop, and gothic
dance talents. This dynamic front man's eccentric
lyrics and music writing style personifies the
person that he is.
Voidian - Lead Guitars : ElectroMetal is the best
way to describe Voidian's gutiar tone and style. The
sound that he produces elevates Vox Demonna's guitar
component to 21st century cyber-crunch.
BigE6 - Bass : BigE6's old-school style of playing
the bass is severely influenced by heavy metal.
BigE6 is the anchor of Vox Demonna's heavy edged
sound balanced with an undertow of darkness. His
energy and aggressive nature is infectious.
Istas - Percussion : As the former drummer of Skrew,
Chris contributes that experience of emotion and
aggression, adding a nasty yet colorful element to
Vox. When he plays live, he sets the chaotic energy
and vibe for the Vox shows.
Zane - Guitars : The newest member of Vox Demonna.
Zane seals the act by doubling the live guitar tone
and adding harmony to the heaviness.

Rudy Grant

Here
you go, Rudy Grant Fans! Finally!! A CD from one of
Denver, Colorado's ICONS of country music. I think
that Rudy's been around here almost as long as Lee
Sims or Leo Everett. I really haven't kept track of
the years, (I stopped counting a long time ago)
Now this album is "Western" to me. It has
a predominant steel guitar played by Clip Cookson,
who also co-produced this CD. By the way, the other
producer is a well-known country music artist, Karen
Osburn. She got her licks in-playing bass guitar,
drums and back-up vocals. Susie Lewis (another
nationally known artist) laid down some outstanding
fiddle parts on this album.
I remember back in the `60`s, when I used to go with
my Dad on the road to repair electronic organs. We
were
in Valetine, Nebraska when the van decided to quit
on us and we had to stay in the downtown hotel while
we waited for the parts to be delivered to the
repair shop. I can picture that country hotel in my
mind like it was yesterday. The wooden bench and
chairs, one black and white television, and NO
vending machines in the lobby. I bet you have a
place like that in your mind. WELL, this album will
take you back to that very place again and again. It
is cassic country and western through and through.
In this day of hype and distortion, it`s very rare
for something that`s designed to be country and not
designed to be commercial. This album is just THAT:
ITs COUNTRY, its the GOOD STUFF!!
There`s a waltz (that`s played like a waltz)and He
sings a cha-cha. The dancers will delight in this
one. The back-up vocalc are right-on the money, and
Rudy`s singing is great.
Listen to the different timbres that he achieves on
different songs. It`s one of the things that Rudy
has always done so well. I remember back when Claude
King sat down and demonstrated to a young picker how
a good country singer changes from soft to loud,
thin to thick, and nasal to throaty, all within one
line of a song!! Rudy is great at doing this, and
it`s one of the lost arts of singing, especially in
the country field.
If you`re into the Sons of the Pioneers and bands
that had that great western flavor, this album will
please you as well.
I almost forgot to mention, Rudy co-wrote: "The
Two Step Is Calling" with LINDA A. HERMES who
lives down in Texas. I Don`t know how many of the
songs that were written specifically for this
album-They are all great.
Great job Rudy and all those involved in this
project.KEEP`EM COMING!!

Lou has had many careers in his life; including a rancher, actor, and

As an actor he has played in numerous commercials and played

always been singing and writing songs.
Over the last 15years, Lou has written hundreds of songs.
Good representations of these original tunes are shown on this CD.
All of the songs are motivated by events that occurred in his life.
Lou has a free-form style and a sense of timing that is unique
in the music business.
Lou offers his special thanks to Karen Osburn for
playing bass guitar, rhythm guitar, and drums.
Karen also contributed by singing the back-up
vocals, and assisting in producing the CD.
Also, thanks to Clip Cookson for playing

not have born fruit without Clear Recording.

Rio Diablo
http://www.riodiabloband.com
Rio Diablo was formed in January, 2001 with only two members RJ and Ed. With alot of work and perserverance, it has turned into a band of five. We love what we do and really enjoy ourselves when others have a good time. There have been a few mis-conceptions about the type of music we play, and also our religious affiliations due to the name Rio Diablo. Which translated in english means "Devil River". We actually borrowed the name from a Western film featuring Travis Tritt, Kenny Rogers and Naomi Judd. We are very proud of our talents and it takes a tremendous amount of work, time, money and commitment to give you a great show. We encourage everyone to show your support to keep local bands alive in Colorado.
